Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge may have been the two getting married, but Maid of Honor Pippa Middleton, sister to Catherine, was the one everyone was buzzing about after the Royal Wedding back in April.
Her body-skimming, white Alexander McQueen bridesmaid dress just about stole her sister Kate's thunder and now the AFP is reporting that British department store Debenhams is going to start carrying a knock-off version that will retail for about a 100th the cost of the original starting in September.
The original gown reportedly retails for around £20,000, but the replica will be for sale for around £170 and will available country-wide, as Debenhams has branches all across England. And not only will the bridesmaid dress be available, but the store plans to sell a replica of Pippa's evening party dress from the reception for £99 and a flower girl dress for around £50
"Both men and women everywhere were instantly talking about Pippa, so naturally brides-to-be will want to emulate her classic look -- both for themselves or their bridesmaids," says Alain Mehada, chief personal shopper at the Debenhams branch on London's Oxford Street.
Exciting. Now if only there were a way to have Pippa's body to go with that dress ...
